Vintage Asian style altar table / console table. Rectangular top and curved ends, shelf underneath. The table top depicts flowers, leaves, and birds surrounded by gold design, having intricate gilt design on apron and legs with sections of flowers.

Altar tables were also used as tables by scholars, for the careful and exacting work of calligraphy or the painting of scrolls.
